The Death Race

I just thought (after watching "Death Race") that it would be very cool if a sequel to the film were created. But before that, I would begin by explaining what the "Death Race" is.

Death Race is a 2008 movie about a futuristic world-wide gladiator-like racing show where racers race for both their freedom and their life. It is based on the original 1975 movie Death Race 2000,a cult science fiction action film. Although Death Race is regarded as a prequel to the Death Race 2000, it still has room for a sequel.

Death Race is about the story of Jensen Ames, an ex-racecar driver and former steel mill worker, who ends up in prison for the murder of his wife. Although it was just a frame-up, he is still imprisoned at the Terminal Island Penitentiary, which is run by a private corporation. The prison's warden is a woman named Hennessey.

After entering jail, Ames gets into a fight with the Aryan Brotherhood gang, led by Panchenko. Hennessey tells Ames that the gang will kill him if he does not join the Death Race. He agrees, and he replaces the masked racer known as Frankenstein, who has already won four races before his death. He goes to the race with Frank's mask on him.

After a series of events, he realizes that Panchenko was the one who framed him for his wife's murder, under direct orders from Hennessey. She did this so that Ames will get arrested and be put in her prison, to replace the late Frankenstein so the shows ratings will not go down.

In Stage 2, Frank kills Panchenko after an epic head-to-head showdown.

*Note that Frank's car(on the right) is on the reverse.

However, after the showdown, a vicious "beast" known as the Dreadnaught is released by Hennessey. The truck destroys all the racers except for Frank and Machine Gun Joe, who is, until that point in time, Frank's arch-rival. After having a talk over the radio, Joe decides to help Frank destroy the Dreadnaught. They succeeded.

In Stage 3, only Frank and Joe are left. Before the race, however they had a little talk...

Anyway, as the race commences, they fight viciously, until Frank desperately launches his 6-inch thick shield at Joe. Joe was able to swerve away. He then launches his finishing attack: 2 rockets fired from his car's roof. The target was Frank. Frank brakes....

Both racers suddenly disappear through the explosion. Hennessey checks all the cameras. The next thing she saw was that their cars were already heading toward the bridge.

The night before, Frank pointed out to Joe a weakness in the prison walls. They planned on how to exploit that weakness, and they just put on the show. Then they escaped through the breach, then drove to the bridge. The bridge connects the entire Terminal Penitentiary Island to the mainland.

After Frank sends his gas-tank flying to the cops pursuing behind, he gets out of his car and orders Case, his loyal navigator(or co-pilot), to drive the car away to distract the helicopters chasing them. Ames(Frank) and Joe then escape in a freight train towards the border.

Meanwhile after the race, Coach, who is Ames' pitcrew-chief, send's Hennessey a present. When she opens it, she realizes it is the bomb she installed in Frank's car. The bomb then goes off.

"I love this game", says Coach.

After 6 months, Ames and Joe are living a clean life in Mexico. Ames is reunited with his daughter. Then a car suddenly drives toward them. When the person comes out, they realize she's Case....

THE END
Anyway, about the sequel. I'm going to write about a sequel I thought of soon. Just wait a while.

OK?

Wangan Midnight Supremacy

I believe most of you are familiar with the arcade racing game Initial D. But, I think all of you do not know the game Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, especially WMMT3 and 3DX. Anyway, these are also arcade racing games that is, for me, cooler than Initial D. Not all racers like the mountains, and one of them is me.

Maximum Tune is not all about skillful racing, meaning you SOMETIMES (just sometimes, not always) do not have to rely on your skills in driving. Sometimes it is about the settings of the car. Unlike Initial D, Maximum tune is all about tuning, perfectly designing your car so that it can reach the maximum speed possible (hence, the name Maximum tune).

The trick in Maximum tune's success is it gives you the ability to create a cool car in a virtual world without it costing to much.

Maximum Tune started as an arcade game released by SEGA on 2003. Named WMMT1(Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune). That game had only 2 modes: Story mode and Time Attack.

On 2004, because of the popularity of the game, SEGA released WMMT2. WMMT2 added another mode of play: 10-Outrun mode. In this mode you have to overtake 10 opponent racers consecutively in order to win.
The next installment, WMMT3, is the most common of all the WMMT games. Created by NAMCO, the game features the ghost battle mode. In this mode, you battle against a ghost car, which is the recorded drive of the other players. Once you play in this mode, your drive will be recorded as your ghost.
There are other versions of WMMT3: the WMMT3DX and WMMT3DX+. They are basically the same, except that WMMT3DX and WMMT3DX+ feature new cars, tracks, and dress-up parts.

But why did I include pics of the Devil Z and the Blackbird? The story of the arcade is based on the Wangan Midnight, a manga about racing. For the whole story, just click on the link below the pics on the right.

So, after all this, I believe that WMMT is the better than Initial D, and if not, the best of the arcade racing games.

The magic within

deck of cards. Handkerchiefs. Flowers. Loops and wires. Swords and knives. These are only a few things that are used in the illusive art of magic. When I was young I was fond of magic shows. But the tricks were to hard and the parafernalia are often expensive. Then I was introduced to another kind of magic:card tricks. It was not easier but it presented a certain difficulty that differed from the common magic tricks. After a while, I got the hang of it. I learned most of my tricks from a blog, which is in the link list. It's actually easy, you know. |8{D

The Pisay experience

THE PISAY LOGO
Pisay is the "Premier High School" in the Philippines. That is a big title, and that requires a lot of responsibility, from both the staff and, most especially, the students. So here we go, failing nearly every test we take, hoping for a grade higher than at least 2.5 (the passing grade). But when we get out of this academic inferno, we realize we are not failures, which is a rewarding realization, especially for us. So be like us, losers yet winners at the same time. I just hope that you get what I mean. XD

This is the first and only official blog of DJ, a high school student in Philippine Science High School, a.k.a., Pisay. To Dahlia2013, you may want to help me improve this. Anyway, this is just the beginning, so don't expect to much yet. We all have to start somewhere. So just linger a while, for I am sure that there will be more to come.
